IF: Psychedelic Wings

 


I like this one far better for Wings...just wasn't feeling my bat to much.
What do you guys think? Which is better, the black and white, or the gradient?
(ignore that huge white spot for right now, I haven't decided what to put there yet)

IF: Wings

"Jiselle gasped as a bat
swooped low over her 
class before ascending 
sharply into the night sky 
with a whoop of delight.
Their flying instructor 
smirked at the alarmed 
expressions around her 
and delightfully pointed 
up. 'That, ladies and 
gentlemen, is your night 
instructor!' she grinned 
fully as the bat landed 
behind her with a soft 
whoosh of noise."

Something a bit simple this
time. Maybe I'll make it
more complicated with a
background later.
IF theme this week
is Wings, so why not
some flying lessons!

Made a small sketchbook
at work the other day.
Cardboard front and back
laser paper interior ( it soaks
up black ink really well. Not so
good for pencil. Smudges.)

Did this for the cover!
Black ink and sharpie.

IF: Myth 'Orange Spotted Mrigen'

The very rare and
colorful Orange Spotted
Mrigen is surprisingly
hard to catch in
action! You'd think with
its bright colors they'd
be easy to spot. It
took me hours to finally
get a good look at
this little fellow (male gender
noted by his 'beard')
Be careful of those claws,
they are sharp!

IF: Myth 'Hades and Persephone'

"Persephone smiled as she went through the fields picking wild flowers and tending
to the small plants. She was so intent upon her duties that she didn't notice how
far from her mother that she had wandered. Hades, however, did. Seeing his prize
within easy reach he burst through the earth in his blackened chariot and grabbed
Persephone before she could even scream and was swallowed back up by the
chasm he had created."

This is the second one
I did. This is also my
favorite greek story.
Poor Persephone!

IF: Myth 'The Sock Monster'

This one is about
the sock eating monster
known to us as the
domesticated 'Dryer'.
It enjoys leaving us with
one lonely sock instead
of a matching set :(

is 'Ocean' But instead
of putting an ocean scene
I thought I liked the
idea of space.

What is space, if not
the ocean of the universe?

 I've never really cared
for insects. They generally
creep me right out!
I blame it on being a
girl, but what are you
going to do?

As such, I thought it
would be kind of nifty
to make my own strange
bug! He looks a bit
like a pokemon on
steroids though :/
